With Easter just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to start creating and indulging in chocolatey treats! However, this can be an issue for people with allergies and dietary restrictions. That’s why this Easter we want to open up the joy of baking and eating delicious chocolate creations to all, no matter what your requirements may be. 


Below you will find three fabulous free-from recipes, all made with our chocolate, to enjoy…!


Chocolate Hot Cross Buns (@sisi.vegancook

Bun Ingredients: 

  • 1 box Joy of Enjoy Dark Chocolate Buttons (chopped up) 
  • 280g AP flour 
  • 135 ml plant milk (of your choice) 
  • 56g room temperature vegan butter 
  • 60g sugar 
  • 7g instant yeast 
  • Cinnamon, all-spice, salt, caramel aroma 

Bun Recipe: 

  1. Mix all the ingredients (except for the chocolate) in a bowl until it forms a dough
  2. Knead for 10 minutes, and then add the chopped up chocolate buttons and knead for a little while longer 
  3. Cover with tea towel and let rest for an hour in a warm place 
  4. Divide the dough into 9 equal buns and add into a pre-greased baking dish. Cover and let sit for another hour 
  5. Preheat the oven to 180℃ and prepare the cross mix

Cross Ingredients: 

  • 35g oat flour 
  • 45ml water 
  • 7g cocoa powder 
  • Flavdrops 

Cross Recipe: 

  1. Mix all the ingredients together into a piping bag and create a cross on top of the buns 
  2. Bake for 20 minutes and spread reduced sugar and water solution for extra glaze 
  3. Enjoy! 


Great British Porridge Flapjack (@thegreatbritishporridgeco

Ingredients: 

  • 200g The Great British Porridge Co Classic Chocolate Oats 
  • 100g vegan unsalted butter 
  • 1 orange zested and juiced 
  • 70g Joy of Enjoy Chocolate Orange Chocolate 
  • 80g coconut Sugar 
  • 100ml Sweet Freedom Golden Syrup 
  • 1 x Bag The Protein Ball Co Cacao & Orange Protein Balls 

Recipe: 

  1. Start by heating the oven to 180 and lining a square baking tin with baking parchment
  2. In a pan, melt together the butter, sugar, and syrup, once melted, remove from the heat and leave to cool for a couple of minutes
  3. Add in the orange zest and orange juice, before pouring into a separate bowl and combining with the oats 
  4. Add in the chopped chocolate chunks and cacao and orange protein balls and combine well
  5. Pour the mix into the baking tin and press down with the back of a spoon, before baking for around 20 minutes or until golden brown 
  6. Remove from the tin and cut into squares
  7. Enjoy!


Easter Egg Rocky Roads (@dairyfreejessie

Ingredients: 

  • 70g Joy of Enjoy Opulent Orange Filled Bar 
  • 60g vegan butter 
  • 70g digestive biscuits 
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup 
  • 30g marshmallows 
  • 30g raisins 

Recipe: 

  1. Start by melting 20g dark chocolate mixed with 10g vegan butter and fill silicone moulds with equal amounts 
  2. Pop in the fridge to chill for about 10 minutes 
  3. In a saucepan, heat the rest of the vegan butter, dark chocolate and golden syrup, and leave to cool 
  4. In a bowl, mix marshmallows, raisins, melted chocolate and crushed digestive biscuits until all combined
  5. Fill each of the silicone moulds with mixture and pat down to fill properly 
  6. Pop in the freezer for 2 hours until solid and then pop out 
  7. Enjoy!
